Der Nationalpark Schwarzwald
The Black Forest National Park
The Black Forest National Park was established on 1 January 2014 and is the first national park in Baden-Württemberg. The 10,062 hectare national park lies on the main ridge of the northern Black Forest, mainly between the Black Forest high road and the valley of the Murg.
Much of the forests between Plättig and Alexanderschanze may evolve in the future entirely free; Here, nature is allowed to develop without human intervention and can be re-wild forests.
From Bad-Rippoldsau-Schapbach, it only takes 15 minutes to the Alexanderschanze; an ideal starting point to explore the Black Forest National Park
